Day trip to the Atlantic side of Panama in a tour mixing the amazing structures of the Panama Canal and the beauty of the rainforest with the experience of riding The Panama Canal Railway.
After pick up from hotel or address in Panama City, we will take you for a boat tour in the Gatun Lake, the biggest lake part of the Panama Canal, where we would see the ships as they are navigating in the Canal in our way to the Monkey Islands where we will observe monkeys and different species of animals.
After the boat tour, we will continue by car for 1 hour to the other end of the Panama Canal, the city of Colon where we will stop for lunch in a panamanian food restaurant at your own expense.
After one stop for lunch, we will go to the Aguaclara Locks, the expansion of the Panama Canal at the Atlantic ocean.
At the end, you have the option of taking a train back to Panama City on board of the Panama Canal Railway.
We will be waiting for you at the train station in Panama City to take you back to the hotel.
Note: Participants under 5 years old do not pay. Tickets for the Aguaclara Visitors Center are an additional cost. Cost per ticket is $15.00 per adult and $10.00 per child between 6 to 12 years old and the customer would buy it from the Panama Canal at the moment of the visit.
Tickets for the train are an additional cost of $25.00 per adult and $15.00 per child. Panama Canal Railway Company is not public transportation and they offer the train ride under their sole discretion, they might not operate the train without previous notice or if there are not enough passengers.
